Barry Hardeman offers exceptional knowledge and expertise gleaned from over 25 years of experience in the Greensboro and Triad real estate market. A Greensboro native, Barry also brings an extensive background in interior design to the table, having worked for 20+ years with Lee Kennedy & Associates supplying high end decorative accessories to gift shops, designers and department stores throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
While Barry was working with Lee Kennedy & Associates, Tom Chitty contacted him, inquiring as to whether he would be interested in changing career paths and working in real estate. Tom needed someone to handle the marketing and advertising for his growing real estate business, and he recognized that Barry’s knowledge base and various skill sets (Barry attended Ringling School of Art for interior design and GTCC for commercial art and photography) would be a great asset for his own continued growth and success. With that, Barry had found his “second calling” as a real estate professional.
In quick fashion, Barry soon obtained his broker’s license and became involved in every aspect of the business; not only in marketing and advertising, but in every detail involved in listing and selling homes, running day to day business operations and overseeing TCA team members. With Tom and Barry’s combined efforts, it wasn’t long before Tom Chitty & Associates had catapulted to the top of the industry, literally becoming a household name throughout Greensboro and the surrounding area. At that point, it became obvious that it was time to take things to the next level. It was then that Barry purchased Tom Chitty & Associates as President and Chief Operating Officer. This had a dramatic effect, essentially freeing Tom up to focus solely on client and customer relations and sales. Under Barry’s guidance, Tom Chitty & Associates has developed the most extensive array of marketing techniques and strategies, with the primary focus always on providing the utmost in service to TCA’s customers and clients.
Barry’s broad knowledge of interior design and architecture is an invaluable asset to the TCA Team.
